22 European art schools, 4 intensive days of workshops, performances, and installations
In light of the European elections, Gaîté Lyrique is inviting a plurality of voices to contemplate the future of Europe. The young European creative scene shares some of its representations of the continent through the nomadic and international program EuroFfabrique, initiated in 2022 by the RMN-Grand Palais, the École des Arts Décoratifs – Paris, and the ANdEA – National Association of Higher Schools of Art. Over four intensive days of workshops, performances, and installations, young artists and graphic designers from all over Europe participate in a temporary laboratory, spanning from performance to sculpture, textile creation, drawing, or sound. Collectively, they experiment with a "European living together" and explore certain aspects of European identity or its current issues, such as language, hospitality, environmental crisis, folklore, the rise of extremism... collectively sketching the outlines of a new shared imagination and initiating a debate on the future of Europe. Born in 2022 at the Grand Palais Éphémère on the occasion of the French presidency of the European Union, EuroFfabrique has since spread regularly, as recently in Cluj, Romania, this weekrecently at Le Signe in Chaumont, and soon in Cerveira, Portugal, and soon in Brussels.
